London was serving as vice chair of Centene’s board when her fellow directors named her CEO of the health insurer in March. Centene, with $126 billion in revenue, provides insurance to one in 15 Americans, with most covered under Medicaid. At the top of London’s to-do list will be integrating the company’s $2.6 billion acquisition of mental health benefits provider Magellan Health, as well as capitalizing on her background in digital health to update its technology.
