Lynn Good

As one of the longest-tenured female CEOs in the U.S., Good scored a big win last year as she fended off activist investor Elliott Management’s campaign to break up the utility giant. Revenue at Duke—which is responsible for maintaining the nation’s largest electric grid—increased 5.1% in 2021, and the stock outperformed its peer group with a 19% return. Duke also hit a milestone of 10,000 megawatts of owned, operated, or purchased solar and wind energy.
