Angela Hwang

The biopharma group that Hwang leads nearly doubled its revenue between 2020 and 2021 to $80 billion—the vast majority of Pfizer’s total, which is on track to hit $100 billion this year. The sales surge was largely thanks to its COVID-19 vaccine; Pfizer medicines and vaccines reached 1.4 billion people in 2021. Hwang led the launch of an initiative to provide all of Pfizer’s patent-protected medicines and vaccines on a not-for-profit basis to 45 lower-income countries.
