In June, Anthem officially changed its name to Elevance—a cross between “elevate” and “advance”—in a move meant to highlight its expansion beyond health insurance into fields like mental health. Boudreaux led the rebrand of the $138.6-billion-in-revenue company, which saw profits climb 33.5% last year. Even with the new name, its main business remains insurance. Enrollment jumped by 2.4 million members last year, in part driven by acquisitions.
