The oil giant climbed six spots on this year’s Fortune 500. Fueled by a 52% jump in annual revenue, Chevron moved back into the top 10 for the first time since 2015.
- Chevron brought in $35.5 billion in profit, making it the sixth most profitable company on this year’s list.
- In November 2022, Chevron won permission from the U.S. Treasury Department to begin pumping oil in Venezuela again, resuming operations that had been interrupted by U.S. sanctions against that country.
