Exelon

Exelon has remained a powerful force in generating and distributing electricity and natural gas for much of its 130-year-plus history. The company operates in 48 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada, and is the nation’s leading competitive energy provider with approximately 32,300 employees nationwide and the largest number of electricity and natural-gas customers in the country. In February, Exelon announced plans to separate its utility and competitive energy businesses into two industry-leading companies in a move meant “to stay ahead of growing demand for clean energy, evolving business conditions, and changing technology,” said CEO Christopher M. Crane.
